WHAT IS PAYPAL?
Paypal is a payment platform, with a website and a phone app that enables payments between parties through online money transfers. With the help of PayPal, you can securely and quickly send and receive money from anywhere in the world.
But in Nigeria we have restrictions using PayPal, Nigerians can only use PayPal to make payments I’m not sure why.
This blog post will walk you through all the steps necessary to open a Business PayPal account from Nigeria, so you can receive payments from anywhere, including setting up your profile, linking your bank account, and verifying your identity. 1) To open a PayPal account from Nigeria, you must first go to this website
PayPal when it opens you will see
Then you click on sign up fill out the sign-up for a business account and use your Email to signup. Answer all the questions you are asked correctly it’s your personal information such as your name business name, and email address as well as provide some additional details about yourself. When you are ready, click “Continue” to proceed with creating your new account.
2) Next, you will go to your Email and accept the message sent by Paypal and your PayPal account will be created and you start receiving payments. Thanks for sharing, this is helpful. Didn’t quite get what you said about if you already had an existing PayPal account.
I do have one which I’ve successfully used for years for my business but, I am only able to make payments through it. Does this mean I have to open a completely new PayPal business a/c or I can link the a/c I already have with a new one?

Hi Yvonne. Thanks for the easy step by step…I tried opening a PP account on my laptop to no avail! I kept getting error 403 ‘forbidden’…whatever that means.🤦♀️ Surprisingly, it was easier on my phone but I can’t access the account on my laptop!🙆♀️ Is that how it works?!🤷♀️
